G.E.T Excelent Matric Higher Secondary School

G.E.T Excelent Matric Higher Secondary School is out on Attur Road in Gangavalli. This part of Salem is known for being quite hot, so the school building is designed with high ceilings to try and keep things cool for the students. We have a long driveway leading up from the road where the buses park in the morning. The school has been part of the landscape here for a while, and most people in Gangavalli know exactly where we are located. Inside, the floors are made of stone which helps with the heat, though they can be a bit slippery when it rains. We have a set of swings and a slide in the corner of the grounds, but the older students usually prefer to stand around in the shade of the neem trees during their break. The staff room is always a bit messy with books and papers piled up on the wooden tables. We use old-fashioned chalkboards in most of the rooms, and there is always a layer of white dust on the ledges. Life here follows the rhythm of the school year, from the busy start in June to the quiet days when everyone is away on break. We don't have fancy decorations, just some charts about science and history on the walls. It’s a practical place where the day starts early and ends when the sun is still high in the sky. We just keep the doors open and the lessons going for the local kids.
