If you find yourself driving down Omalur Main Road in Salem, you'll pass by Sri Vijay Vidyalaya College Of Pharmacy. We are located right there in Avk Nagar. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s always something happening outside our gates. Inside, things are usually a bit quieter, focused on labs and chemistry. The students spend a lot of time in their lab coats, mixing things and looking through microscopes. It’s a lot of hard work for them, but they seem to enjoy the challenge of learning about medicines and how they are made. The campus has a bit of greenery, which is nice when the sun is beating down on Tamil Nadu. We’ve been here for a while, and the local shops nearby know our students well since they’re always stopping by for snacks or stationery. It isn't a massive corporate campus, just a place where people come to get their degrees and move on to their careers. Sometimes the equipment needs a bit of a nudge to work right, and the classrooms can get a bit dusty if the windows are left open, but we keep on top of it. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk; we just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the labs are stocked. It’s a functional place for people who want to work in the pharma industry. Most of the staff live nearby, so it feels like a very local spot to work every day.
