Psg College Of Technology is located over in Kunjandiyur, Mettur. This is the branch in the Salem district, sitting in the Tcm Colony area. It is a bit of a different feel compared to the big city colleges. The campus is surrounded by the local scenery of Mettur, and it can be quite a peaceful place when the students are in their classes. We have the usual engineering labs and workshops with all the machinery that the students need to learn on. It is a lot of practical work here. The students come from all over the Salem and Mettur region, often taking the local buses or staying in the nearby hostels. The buildings are functional and built to last, nothing too stylish or modern. You can hear the sounds of machines from the mechanical department during the day. Our staff is mostly engineers who have worked in the industry before coming here to teach. We have a canteen that serves basic meals, and that is where most of the talk happens during the lunch break. The weather in Mettur is usually quite dry and hot, so the evenings are the best time to be out on the grounds. It is a very hands-on place where the focus is just on the technical stuff. We do not do much in the way of fancy events; it is mostly just study and lab work from morning till evening.
