Senthil Public School

We are over here at No 27 in Jagir Ammapalayam, right in Salem. It is a busy spot, especially when the sun comes up and the kids start arriving at the gate. Senthil Public School isn’t some fancy corporate place; it is just where we work every day to get things done. Most of the staff live nearby, so we know the area pretty well. You can usually hear the noise of the traffic outside from the main road, but once you get inside the building, it settles down a bit. We spend a lot of time cleaning the chalkboards and making sure the desks are straight before the first bell rings. It’s a lot of walking up and down the stairs. Some days are louder than others, depending on if there is a game happening or if it is exam season. The trees around the yard give a little bit of shade, which is nice when it gets really hot in the afternoons. People around here know where we are because we’ve been at this address for a while now. We don’t really have a big fancy office, just a few desks where we handle the paperwork and talk to parents who drop by. It is just a regular school day, most of the time. We try to keep the place tidy, though with so many people coming through, it is hard to keep the floors perfectly clean all the time.
