Sengunthar Public School

We are located right on the Omalur Main Road in Tharamangalam, which means there is always some traffic noise from the buses and trucks passing by. Salem gets very hot during the summer months, so we are lucky to have some old trees around the school that provide a bit of shade during the break times. The school has been part of this town for many years now. Every morning starts with the yellow buses lining up, and it is always a bit of a rush to get all the students into their classrooms on time. We have the standard setup with wooden desks, blackboards, and a small lab for science experiments. Our teachers are mostly local people who have been with us for a long time and know the parents well. It is not a fancy place with high-tech gadgets in every room, but it’s a solid building where the kids can focus on their studies. Lunchtime is usually the loudest part of the day because everyone sits out in the corridors or under the trees to eat. The playground is mostly dirt, so the kids usually go home with dusty uniforms, but that is just how it goes. Parents often come by in the evenings to pick up their children and talk about how the day went. We just handle the daily grind of lessons, exams, and the heat without making a big deal out of it.
