Roever Higher Secondary School

If you're driving along Sh 142 near Sungu Pettai, you'll find us. Roever Higher Secondary School has been sitting right here for a while. It’s a decent-sized place, and we have a lot of students coming in every morning. The traffic on the main road can be a bit much sometimes, but we’re used to it. Inside, it’s mostly just classrooms and a bit of open space. We don’t have much in the way of fancy decorations. We keep the walls painted when we can and make sure the benches aren't falling apart. The staff here are just regular people who live nearby. We spend our time teaching and making sure the kids stay on track with their studies. It’s a lot of paper and chalk, really. Some days are quieter than others, especially during the exams when everyone is stressed out. We see the same faces every day, from the local shopkeepers to the parents. It feels like a small part of the town. We don't go around telling everyone we're the best or anything. We just show up and do the job. The building has seen some years, and it shows in places, but it works for what we need. It’s just a place for learning, nothing complicated. Most of us have been here for years and we know the area well. We just keep the gates open and the lessons going. It's just home for us.
