New Divya Jyoti Sr Sec School

Out in Kurumenkadu, you’ll find New Divya Jyoti Sr Sec School. Salem is a place known for its hills and weather, and our school sits in a spot that feels quite grounded. We have students from the primary level all the way up to the senior secondary years. It’s a big age range to have in one place, so it stays pretty loud during the day. The building has been here for a while and shows its age in some spots, but it's sturdy. We have a main office where we handle all the fees and the documents. The playground is where most of the action happens during the lunch hour. We have teachers who have been with us for many years now. They know the families around Kurumenkadu well. We don't use a lot of fancy technology here. We mostly stick to books and writing in notebooks. The classrooms are arranged in rows, and we have a small hall for when we need to gather everyone together. It’s a very typical school day here. We start with a morning assembly and end when the afternoon sun is high. Some kids take the bus, and others are picked up by their parents on bikes. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. It's just a local school doing what schools do in this part of Salem. It’s been here for years and we expect it to stay.
