Lakshmi Blue Metals

You can find Lakshmi Blue Metals over on Sengunthar Mariamman Kovil Street in Ammapet. We are at number 6-21. It’s a narrow enough street, and when the big trucks come through to drop off the crushed stone, things get a bit tight. Being near the Kovil means we hear the temple bells throughout the day, which is a nice break from the sound of rock hitting metal. Blue metal is basically just crushed stone, but it’s what people need for building things. We have piles of it in different sizes out in the yard. It’s a dusty business, and everything we own seems to have a blueish tint to it after a while. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just an open space where we work and a small desk where we keep the ledger. Most of the time, I’m out there with the guys, making sure the loads are right. Ammapet is a busy area, and we’ve been part of this street for a good bit of time now. The neighbors are used to the noise by now, or at least they don’t complain to our faces. We just try to get the orders out and keep the piles from falling over. It’s honest work that leaves you tired at night. We don't spend much time on the computer, just doing what needs to be done by hand and with the loaders and the trucks.
