Inside the Jayavel Mill Compound in Nethimedu is where you will find us. Our unit is 3/501 in the C block. The walls of this old industrial compound have a lot of history. Fabrication work is what we do, so cutting and welding sounds are common. It gets quite loud during the workday. Heavy machinery takes up most of our floor space. Measuring metal and ensuring everything fits together is how we spend our time. This is dirty work, and we usually go home covered in grease and dust. A fancy office isn't something we have. Just a small corner with a table for drawings and the phone is enough. Nethimedu is a busy area, but the compound feels like its own little world once you’re inside. Some of our guys have been with us for a very long time. They know how to handle the machines better than anyone else. Not much talking happens; we just focus on the jobs for the week. If a project is more complicated, we stay late to figure it out. Seeing a finished product loaded onto a truck is always satisfying. There is a water cooler in the corner and an old calendar on the wall. We don't mind the simple surroundings. The metal and the welding are our main concerns. That's just how we work every day.
