Working with steel means things can get a bit dusty and loud, but that’s just the nature of the business. We have a solid group of people here who have worked together for a long time. Some of us grew up nearby. The office part of the building is simple. We have the basic stuff like a few desks, some old filing cabinets, and a calendar on the wall that usually has scribbled notes all over it. We don't really have a marketing team or anything like that, so we just talk to people directly when they come by the gate. Salem is a good place for this kind of work. The weather gets really hot in the summer, which makes the shop floor even hotter, but we keep the fans going. We focus on getting the loads ready and making sure the trucks are on time. There is always a lot of movement, with people coming in and out. It’s not a fancy corporate setup. We wear work clothes and don't worry too much about appearances as long as the orders are moving. Most days are long, but we like the routine of it.
