Krisna Metal Mart

Krisna Metal Mart is located at No. 75 on Ayyothiyappatinam Main Road. We are in the Belur post office area, part of Valappady Tk. If you walk into our shop, the first thing you’ll notice is the smell of metal and the stacks of items everywhere. We have everything from small kitchen pots to larger metal pieces for the home. It’s a bit of a squeeze to get through the aisles sometimes because we like to keep a lot of stock. We’ve been in Valappady for many years now and most of the locals know us. It’s a family-run business, so there isn’t any corporate hierarchy. We just open up in the morning and wait for the customers to come in from the nearby villages. The main road is right outside, so it can get quite dusty, and we are always wiping down the shelves. We don't do any big promotions or fancy marketing. People come to us because they know we have what they need at a fair price. It gets very hot in the middle of the day, so things slow down a bit then. We just sit in the shade of the doorway and wait for the evening rush. It’s a simple, local business. We aren't looking to expand into a big chain or anything. We just want to keep the shop running well for the people who live around here. Most days we close the shutters when it gets too dark to see the inventory properly.
