Kailash Maansarovar School

We are located over by the Kumaragiri Bye Pass, specifically in the Kamaraj Nagar Colony area of Salem. It’s a convenient spot for people living on this side of the city. Kailash Maansarovar School has been here for a while, and the neighborhood has grown up around us. The bypass is always busy, but we are tucked back just enough in the colony so it is not too loud in the classrooms. We have a simple setup here. There are several floors to the building and a courtyard where the students gather in the morning for their assembly. It’s a bit of a rush when the school day starts, with parents dropping off kids on scooters and the yellow buses arriving. We don't try to be anything we are not. We are just a local school. The classrooms are filled with the usual stuff—posters on the walls and stacks of notebooks. Our staff is mostly local people who live nearby in Salem. We see each other at the shops and the bus stops. There isn't a big corporate office behind us; it's just the principal and the teachers making the daily decisions. We keep the place running, fix the fans when they break, and make sure there is enough water for everyone. It’s a lot of small tasks that add up. We like it this way. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy.
