Hindustan Handicrafts

Hindustan Handicrafts is located on Bazdaran Street. It’s a name that sounds quite grand, but we are just a small local shop in a very old part of town. Bazdaran Street is full of history and the buildings are packed tightly together. Our shop is one of those places where you have to step down a little bit to get inside. It’s a bit dark in the back, but we have some lamps set up so we can see what we’re doing. We mostly work with our hands, so there are always tools and scrap materials laying around the place. It’s not the kind of shop that looks very organized from the outside, but we know where everything is. The street outside is usually full of people, and sometimes it’s hard for trucks to get through to drop off supplies. We’ve been here long enough that the stones on the floor are worn smooth in the spots where we walk the most. We don’t do any big advertising or have a salesperson. If someone wants something, they just come in and ask. Usually, one of us will be sitting by the door reading the newspaper or talking to a neighbor while we work. It’s a slow pace of life on Bazdaran Street, and that suits us just fine. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, day after day, and that’s how Hindustan Handicrafts keeps going.
