This is Karaiyasurkhi Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are based out of Surkhi, specifically at the place of Dinesh Kumar, who is the son of Rameshwar Prasad Misra. It is a local setup where we handle things for the farmers in our village and the surrounding areas. The office is really just a room in the house where we keep the records and meet up. Surkhi is a small place, so everyone knows where to find us. We don’t have a big sign or anything like that. Usually, you will find a couple of us sitting there going through the lists of what the members need for the next planting season. It gets quite hot in the summers, so we try to get most of the work done early in the morning. Sometimes people drop by just to have tea and talk about the rain or the market prices. It is a simple way of working. We do not have fancy computers or a big staff. Just a few of us making sure the paperwork for the producer company stays in order.
