Talod Farmer Producer Company Limited is located over at Patel Narottambhai Lalajibhai’s place in Ahemedpura. We are right in the heart of the village area in Talod. It’s not a corporate headquarters, just a place where we get together to figure out the business. Being a producer company means we spend a lot of time on the phone and even more time looking at bags of produce. We started this because it’s hard for one person to do everything alone. Here, we share the load. The office is just a room with a few chairs and a lot of registers. It’s often dusty because of the tractors passing by, but that’s just part of the job. We don't have a fancy website or anyone to do PR for us. We just talk to the farmers and try to get the best deals for the collective. Some days we argue about which seeds to buy or when to sell, but we always figure it out in the end. It’s a practical, no-nonsense way of working. We’ve had some tough seasons where we weren't sure how things would go, but we stayed the course. We aren't trying to sound like a big bank.
