Saafe Farmers Producer Company Limited

Saafe Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out in Gambhirpura, near Idar. We run things from Desai Tejasbhai’s place. It’s a local setup, very far from the shiny offices you see in the big cities. We wanted to create something that actually helps the farmers in our village. There’s no reception desk or fancy signage here. We mostly meet on the porch or in the main room to discuss what needs to happen with the next crop. It’s informal, but we take the work seriously. There is a lot of back-and-forth between the members. People drop in at all hours to ask questions or drop off papers. It’s a bit chaotic, but it works for us. We don't spend money on things we don't need, like expensive furniture or advertising. We’d rather focus on the logistics of getting the produce to market. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait to upload files, which is frustrating, but we manage. It’s a tight-knit group and everyone knows everyone else. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields translates into something sustainable. It’s a lot of hard work and honest talk. That is just how we do things in Idar. We keep it simple, keep our heads down, and keep moving forward.
