Suryapura Farmer Producer Company Limited is located out in Village Rampur Panchayat, which is part of Agrer Kala in the Bikramganj area of Rohtas. If you know this part of Bihar, you know it is mostly about the fields and what we can grow in the soil. We are just a group of local people who decided to work together instead of everyone doing their own thing separately. Our office is not a big building with glass windows or anything like that. It is just a simple place where we meet to talk about seeds, the weather, and how the crops are doing this year. Rohtas can get very hot and the work is never easy, but we have been living here all our lives so we are used to the sun and the dust. Most of us here in Rampur know each other by name. We deal with the day-to-day stuff like getting the right fertilizers and trying to figure out where to sell the harvest so we do not lose money. There are a lot of challenges with the roads and the transport, but we just keep going. It is a practical way for us farmers to have a bit more say in how things work. We do not have fancy titles or big speeches. We just sit down, drink some tea, and try to make sure the farming stays sustainable for our families in the village. It is just honest work.
