Our company, Mahamana Malviy Kissan Utpadak Sangathanproducer Company Limited, has its main office at Sri Ramji Upadhayay’s house. We are in the village of Siwanpo, which is part of the Rohtas district. It is a long name for a group of simple farmers, but we needed to make it official. We aren't the kind of people who spend all day behind a desk. We would much rather be out in the open air, even if it is scorching hot. In Kargahar, we all know each other and try to help out when someone’s crop is struggling. This company is basically just an extension of that neighborly help. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to make sure we can sell our grain and vegetables for a price that lets us keep going. It is a tough life sometimes, and there are days when nothing seems to go right. But being part of this group makes those days a little easier to handle. We talk about things like rain, insects, and the cost of seeds. We are just real people living in Rohtas, trying to do our best with what we have. If you come by Siwanpo, you will probably see us sitting under a tree or walking out to the fields. We don't have anything to hide, we are just a practical bunch of farmers doing our daily work. It is not always easy, but we keep on going together.
