Our company is based in the Chenari block of Rohtas district. Specifically, we are at Mudrika Yadav’s house, number 223, in the Ganeshpur area of Pewandi village. It’s a quiet spot, mostly surrounded by farmland. We started Mamrejpur Farmers Producer Company because the people around here needed a way to work together more effectively. We aren't some big corporation from the city. We are just local residents who know the soil and the crops. Our daily routine involves talking to the farmers in Ganeshpur and Pewandi to see what they need. Sometimes it’s about fertilizers, other times it’s about finding a place to sell the grain. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or a reception desk. Usually, we just sit on the porch or in the main room at Mudrika's place and get things done. The weather plays a big part in how our days go. If it rains too much, we worry; if it doesn't rain enough, we worry more. It’s the kind of life we’ve always known. We named the company after this area because that’s where our roots are. We aren't looking to expand all over the country. We just want to make sure the farming in this little corner of Rohtas stays viable. It’s simple, hard work, and we don't try to dress it up as anything else.
