St Marys Senior Secondary School

If you drive down NH 10 in Rohtak, you’ll see our gate. We are right there where the road gets busy. Being on the highway means there's always a bit of a hum from the trucks passing by, but inside the walls, it’s mostly just the sound of kids talking. The school building has been here for a good bit now. We have several floors and the stairs are usually busy between periods. Our staff mostly lives nearby, so we walk or cycle in. The morning assembly is a daily thing where everyone gathers in the main area. It can get hot in the summer months, so we make sure the fans are working. We have a small garden area too, though it’s hard to keep the grass green when the weather gets dry. The students bring their lunch boxes and sit together during the break. We don't do anything too fancy here. It’s just about getting the lessons done and making sure the kids are where they need to be. Sometimes the printer breaks down or we run out of chalk, and we have to sort that out quickly. It’s a busy life at St Marys. We have a lot of old records in the office and photos from years ago on the walls. It’s just a normal school day after day. We keep the main gate locked until the final bell rings for safety.
