About Swami Nitanand Vidya Mandir – Education in Rohtak
Being in Majra Dubaldhan means things are a bit quieter than in the bigger parts of Jhajjar. The school is near the GPO, so it’s easy for everyone to find. We have a lot of local families sending their children here. The building is solid, made of brick and cement, and it feels very much like a part of the village life. Most of the staff members are from the same area, so we all know each other’s families and stories. There is a small courtyard where we gather for the morning prayers. It’s not a huge space, but it fits everyone if we stand close together. The benches in the junior classes are a bit small, and the older kids sometimes complain about their desks being cramped, but we make do with what we have. We have a water cooler near the entrance that everyone uses constantly when the weather turns dry and hot. The walls have some charts and drawings pinned up that the students made last year. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a few hours, so we just open the doors wide to let the light and air in. It’s a very practical kind of place. Nobody wears anything too formal, just the usual stuff you’d see in a village. We don't have a lot of extra gadgets, just the basics like blackboards and chalk. It’s how it’s always been here since we started.
