Shri Jyoti Prakash School

Vpo Bhalout is where Shri Jyoti Prakash School is based, just outside the main part of Rohtak. It is a rural setting, so things are a bit different here than in the city center. Our school building sits on a good piece of land. We have plenty of space, though it is mostly just open ground. The morning air is usually fresh when we arrive to open the gates. Most of the kids come from nearby houses in the village. We have a small team of teachers who travel in every day. The classrooms are basic, with just the essentials for teaching. We do not have any high-tech gadgets or modern interiors. It is just brick and mortar and a lot of hard work. We spend our days making sure the children are actually sitting at their desks and paying attention. It can be a struggle when the weather is particularly bad, but we keep going. Rohtak is growing, but Bhalout keeps its village feel. We like that about this place. There is a sense of community here that you do not find everywhere. Parents often drop by just to check on how things are going. We do not have a formal reception area, just a small office where we keep the files and records. It is a very grounded way to run a school. We just do what needs to be done to keep the place operating smoothly for the children.
