V N Memorial Public School

V N Memorial Public School is out in Asthal Bohar, Rohtak. It’s a bit away from the main city noise, which is nice for the most part. The school sits on a decent piece of land, and we have a gate that stays shut most of the day for safety. Inside, the rooms are painted in light colors, though they could probably use a fresh coat soon. We have a lot of kids from the nearby villages and the outskirts of Rohtak who come here. The teachers are mostly women from the local area who know the families well. It’s common to see a teacher talking to a parent by the gate about how their child is doing. We have a small office where the administrative stuff happens, but mostly it’s just about the classrooms. The sound of children reciting their tables or reading aloud is something you hear all day. We have a small assembly area where everyone gathers in the morning. It gets quite hot in the summer, so the ceiling fans are always spinning at full speed. There’s a small patch of grass where the kids can sit, though it turns a bit brown in the dry season. We don't have fancy labs or anything, just the basics for the students to get through their school years. It’s a simple, honest place that serves the people living around Asthal Bohar.
