Dav Centenary Public School

Dav Centenary Public School is situated on Delhi Road in Rohtak. It is a fairly straightforward place to get to if you are coming from the main part of town. The school has been sitting on this stretch of road for a long time. We have a gate that stays shut most of the day except for when the morning shift arrives. It is a pretty large campus, but it feels smaller when all the students are running around at once. The classrooms have high ceilings and the walls are painted a simple off-white. We spend a lot of our time just making sure the kids are in their seats and doing their work. There is always someone losing a pencil or forgetting their lunch box in the hallway. Our teachers are busy people who spend their breaks talking about the syllabus or complaining about the heat in Rohtak. The playground gets a bit dusty when there has been no rain for a few weeks. We have some trees around the edges, but they do not provide much shade during the middle of the day. It is a lot of work keeping a place like this running smoothly. We deal with broken chairs and leaky taps just like any other building would. It is not about being perfect, just about getting the work done. Most of us have been working here for years and we know the routine by heart.
