Decent Catering Services is over on Asha Talkies Road in Shah Alibanda. This part of town has a lot of history, and we’ve been part of the local scene here for quite some time. We do a lot of different types of catering, from small family get-togethers to larger functions. Being near the old Asha Talkies means people can find us pretty easily. The shop isn't anything too flashy; we mostly focus on what happens in the kitchen. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for years. They know the recipes by heart now. We don't really use measuring cups for everything; it’s more about how it looks and smells. We’ve learned that every customer wants something a little different, so we try to listen more than we talk. Some days are longer than others, especially during the wedding season when we are up before the sun. We get our ingredients from the local markets nearby because they are fresh. It is a lot of physical work, lifting heavy pots and packing everything up into the vans. We just try to do a solid job so people will call us back the next time they have a celebration. It’s a simple life, mostly centered around good food and making sure the containers are clean. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but the way people celebrate with food stays pretty much the same.
