U K Public School

U K Public School is out on Hazaribag Road in the Booti area of Ranchi. It’s a bit away from the main city center, so it feels a little more open, though the road itself is always busy with trucks and buses. You can see the hills in the distance on a clear day. The school is a basic structure where we spend most of our waking hours. The wind can get quite strong coming across the open spaces around Booti. We have a few staff members who have been here since the start. We don't really have a marketing team or anything like that; we just let the neighbors know we are here. The morning assembly is usually the first time we all get together in the courtyard. It’s a bit chilly in the Ranchi winters, so everyone is wrapped up in sweaters. During the day, it's just the normal sound of teachers explaining things and kids answering back. The school gates are simple iron ones that have seen a lot of use over the years. We try to keep the place clean, but with the main road so close, there’s always a bit of dust. Most families around here work nearby, so it’s a very working-class neighborhood. We don’t promise anything extraordinary, just a place for the local kids to come and spend their day learning. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense kind of setup we have here.
