It’s a bit of a landmark for people driving between the cities. The school building is quite large and visible from the road. We have some open space around us, which is a change from the tighter spots in the city center. Ormanjhi has a bit more of a rural feel, even though the highway is right there. The morning commute for the staff involves a drive out from Ranchi or coming in from the local villages. The building itself is sturdy and has seen plenty of weather over the years. We keep the classrooms basic and functional. There’s a lot of dust that comes off the NH 33, so we are always cleaning the windows and the floors. It’s just a part of being located where we are. You get used to the sound of the traffic after a while; it just becomes background noise. We have our own routine out here, away from the main city buzz. It’s a straightforward, busy place to work. The Ranchi Patna Road is always moving, and so are we. It’s a long day sometimes, but the 835219 area is where we belong.
