Sachidanand Gyan Bharti Model School

Our school is located at 108, Kusai, which is in the Doranda area of Ranchi. It’s a fairly quiet spot most of the time, though when school lets out, the whole street fills up pretty quick. We’ve got the 834002 pincode for those sending stuff through the post. It is just a regular school building where we spend our days. You will see kids running around the yard and teachers carrying stacks of notebooks. We don't have a big fancy gate or anything, just a normal entrance that everyone uses. The classrooms get a lot of sun in the afternoons. Sometimes the power goes out and we just open the windows and keep going. Ranchi can get a bit dusty, so we are always sweeping the floors. Most of us live nearby, so we just walk or take a rickshaw to get here in the morning. It’s a model school, but it feels more like a community spot where everyone knows each other’s names. We have been here for a while and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon. We don’t spend much time worrying about how things look as long as the classes are running. It is a simple life at the school. We just focus on the lessons and making sure the kids have what they need for the day. That is about it for us here in Doranda. It is an honest place.
