Sharda Global School

Sharda Global School is situated over in the Duukru area of Kanke, here in Ranchi. It’s a bit away from the main city noise, which is something we actually like. The air feels a little different out here. We have a decent-sized building and some open space around it where the kids can run. It’s not a perfect place—the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint and the grass isn't always green—but it’s where we work every day. We have teachers who come in from different parts of Ranchi to teach the kids their lessons. Most of our students live in the Kanke area, so we know their families pretty well. We don't go in for a lot of the high-tech stuff you see in some of those new schools. We mostly stick to the basics. Chalk, boards, and books are what we use most. Sometimes the road leading up to the school gets a bit bumpy after the rains, but everyone manages to get here on time. We just want the children to learn how to read and write and do their sums properly. It’s a plain and simple approach to education. No one here is trying to be fancy. We’re just a local school trying to do a good job for the families that trust us with their children every morning.
