Mecon Limited

Mecon Limited is located on Vivekananda Path in Doranda. It’s a busy spot and we have been here for a long time. The building isn't anything special to look at, but there is a lot happening inside. We are mostly an engineering and consultancy firm. That sounds a bit formal, but really it just means we help people build big stuff like power plants and steel mills. We spend our days looking at drawings and talking about technical specs. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to close the windows, but the work goes on. We aren't a flashy group. Most of us just show up, have our tea, and get into the data. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and going over blueprints. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Some of the younger engineers are bringing in new ideas, which is good. We don't really do the whole marketing thing. People know us for the work we’ve already done. It’s about being practical and making sure the engineering holds up. There are a lot of meetings, some of them go on for hours. We just try to get the details right so the projects don't fail later on. It’s a steady kind of life here in Doranda. We focus on the tasks we have and try to stay out of the rain.
