Out here in Karamtoli, things move at a bit of a slower pace than the big cities. M B Dav Public School is located in the Juria area of Lohardaga. It’s a quiet spot, which is actually pretty good for a school. We don't have to deal with too much traffic noise. Most of our students come from the surrounding villages and neighborhoods. They walk or come by cycle. The school itself is quite plain. We have the usual classrooms and a bit of space for the kids to run around during lunch. We don't have air conditioning or high-tech labs. We use textbooks and notebooks and a lot of talking. The teachers here have been around for a long time. They know the families and the local way of life. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts or a roof that leaks a bit during the heavy rains, but we just get on with it. It’s a practical place for practical people. We want our students to be able to read, write, and do their sums properly. Parents in 835302 expect us to be firm but fair, and that’s what we try to be. There’s no marketing team here, just us doing the daily work. We appreciate the trust the local people put in us. It’s a big responsibility and we take it seriously, even if we are just a small school in a quiet corner of Jharkhand. It’s a decent way to spend our days.
