Emmanuel Mission High School

Emmanuel Mission High School is situated right at Hardia More. It’s a spot that most people in this area pass by at least once a day. The school isn't some massive institution with shiny glass; it's a practical building made of brick and mortar that serves the kids around here. We’ve got a staff that’s been together for quite some time. We spend our mornings getting the rooms ready and our afternoons making sure everyone gets home okay. Hardia More is often busy with traffic, so we have to keep a close watch on the gate when the kids are leaving. Inside, the walls are covered with student work and the odd smudge here and there. We don't mind a bit of a mess if it means the students are actually learning something. The desks are old-fashioned, and the chalkboards get a lot of use every single day. We don't have a PR department or a fancy lobby. If you walk in, you’ll probably see one of us middle-aged teachers carrying a stack of books or a broom. We take care of the building as best we can, painting the walls when we have a bit of extra time or fixing a leaky tap in the bathroom. It’s just a local school doing its thing at the crossroads. We’ve been part of this community for a long time now and plan to stay right here.
