You can find us over in Gandhi Nagar on Kanke Road in Ranchi. This part of town is usually quite busy with people heading towards the center of the city or out towards the hills. The school has been part of the Kanke Road landscape for a long time, and many people recognize our gates and the bus parked nearby. Our mornings are filled with the sound of students arriving in their uniforms, carrying heavy bags and talking about their games. The classrooms are pretty standard with rows of benches and boards that have seen better days but still do the job. We have a playground where the grass gets a bit worn down from all the running, but it’s a good spot for the kids to let off steam. The staff room is usually a bit of a mess with stacks of papers and half-finished cups of tea, which is just how it goes when you’re busy. We focus on the daily lessons and getting through the syllabus without much drama. Ranchi weather can be a bit unpredictable, so we’re always prepared for a sudden rain shower during the afternoon. It’s a grounded place where the neighborhood kids come to spend their formative years. We aren't trying to be anything other than a solid, local school where the community feels comfortable sending their children every morning. It’s just a regular, working school in a busy part of Ranchi.
