A P E G Residential School

A P E G Residential School is located at Ratu Chatki, right along NH 75 in the Ratu area of Ranchi. Being on the national highway means we are a bit far from the main city, which makes it a lot quieter than the town center. Since it’s a residential school, we have students who stay with us throughout the term, so the place feels more like a large home than just a school. The campus is spread out a bit, and we have the dormitories and the classrooms in different sections. The commute out here from Ranchi takes a bit of time, especially with the trucks on NH 75, but once you get inside the gates, it’s much more relaxed. We have a lot of open space and some trees, which is nice for the kids when they aren't studying. The buildings are pretty basic—just brick and concrete—and we are always fixing something or painting a wall. We don’t have a lot of modern bells and whistles, just the essentials like beds, desks, and a kitchen that stays busy all day long. The staff mostly lives on-site too, so we are all here together through the week. It’s a simple life out here in Ratu, away from the noise, where the focus is just on the daily needs of the students and keeping the place running. It’s a lot of work to manage everything, but we just take it one day at a time.
