Crunchy Food

We’re based out in Vavdi at Plot No. 7, Survey No. 35. Our place is on Poonam Dumper Main Road, right across from J.P. Engineering. Actually, J.P. Engineering is a good landmark to look for because their sign is pretty big. We make food products here. The building is basically a large kitchen and packing area. It smells like spices and fried things most of the day. We have people coming in early to start the batches. It’s a lot of manual work, weighing things out and making sure the bags are sealed properly. The road outside gets a lot of heavy trucks because of the industrial nature of Vavdi, so it’s rarely quiet. We don’t have a fancy storefront. Most of what we do is wholesale, so we’re busy loading up crates for delivery. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend an afternoon fixing a conveyor belt. It’s just part of the daily routine. We keep a small office in the corner for the billing. It’s a bit cramped with all the boxes around, but we manage. People know us for being steady. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just making food that people like to snack on. If you come by, you’ll probably see a couple of trucks parked out front waiting to get loaded. It’s a busy, dusty place but we like the work. There's always some cleaning up to do at the end of the shift.
