Pooja Foods

Pooja Foods is located right near the Gate Railway Under Bridge on the Main Road. It’s a loud spot, mostly because of the trains passing overhead and the traffic that piles up at the junction. You can hear the rumble every few hours, and everything shakes just a little bit. We’ve grown used to it over the years. Being on the Main Road means there’s always dust flying around, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the counters and the front windows. It’s a small place, but we keep it busy. People stop by on their way to work or when they’re headed home in the evening. We don’t have fancy menus or anything. It’s just straightforward food stuff. The kitchen area gets quite hot in the middle of the day, so we keep the back door open for some air. Sometimes the rain floods the underbridge a bit, and traffic slows down to a crawl, which makes for a slow afternoon for us. We know most of the regulars by face, even if we don't always know their names. It’s a practical business, nothing too complicated. We just show up, do the work, and close up when the sun goes down. The sign outside is simple, just says Pooja Foods. We don’t feel the need for big posters or lights. Being near the bridge is enough for people to find us. The local kids sometimes run past, shouting and making noise, but it's all part of the daily life around here. It gets messy sometimes, but we manage just fine.
