Regal Refrigeration

Regal Refrigeration is right on Station Road, directly across from the GEB. Being near the station means there’s always a lot of noise and people walking by. We fix fridges and cooling systems. Our shop is full of tools, spare compressors, and copper tubing. It’s not a clean place, usually there’s some oil on the floor or a disassembled unit on the workbench. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while. People know us because we are right there in front of the electricity board office. When a fridge stops working, it’s a big problem for the family, so we just try to get it running again. We don't have a receptionist or anything. If you come in, you’ll probably find one of us with our hands inside a machine. We use simple tools and old-school methods. It works. The heat around here makes our job pretty important, I guess. We don't do much advertising. People just see the sign on Station Road and come in. It’s a small operation. We just focus on the repairs. Sometimes we have used units for sale, but mostly it’s just service work. It’s a busy life, especially in the summer months when everything seems to break down at once. We just keep the fans going and get through the pile of work on the floor. It's dusty but we don't mind. That is our life here.
