We are way out at R.S No. 83/3 in Pipalia, right along the NH-27. If you are driving on Gondal Road, you’ll see us near the Tolnaka. Being near the toll plaza means there is always a line of trucks and the sound of engines idling. We mill flour here, so there is a fine white dust over almost everything. We wear masks to keep from breathing it in all day. The building is large and open to let the heat out. We get the grain straight from the local farmers and pour it into the hoppers. It’s a heavy job, lifting those sacks. The sun hits the front of the building hard in the afternoon, making it real hot inside. We have a small shed where the workers sit to eat their lunch in the shade. It’s a bit isolated out here, away from the main town of Gondal. We don't get many visitors besides the truck drivers and the guys delivering the grain. We just keep the machines running and make sure the flour is ground fine. Our office is just a small room with a wooden desk and a lot of ledgers. We don't use many computers, mostly just writing things down in the books. It’s a quiet life, focused on the rhythm of the mill. We just want to do our job and get home.
