Shri Govardhan Foods

Shri Govardhan Foods is up on the second floor of Topland Residency on Raiya Road. We are right in the Dharam Nagar area, which is usually quite a busy spot with all the residents around. Being on Plot No. 103 means we have a bit of a walk up the stairs but it’s fine for us. We spend most of our time preparing different food items. It smells like spices and flour in here most of the day. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up carrying bags of grain or supplies up by hand. It keeps us fit, I guess. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves and food seemed like the right choice for our skills. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us making sure the quality of what we produce is okay to eat. We sell to a lot of the local shops around here. People come by the office to place orders or just to chat for a bit about the news. It gets quite warm in the kitchen during the afternoon. We try to keep things clean and tidy, but when you are working with food, there is always something to wipe down. We’ve been in this building for a few years and the neighbors are good people. We just keep our heads down and do the work every single day.
