Kanaiya Coconut Product

Our shop is number nine, right there on the Sardar Nagar Ring Road in Maudy. It is a very busy area with a lot of traffic passing by all the time on the 150 Feet Ring Road. If you know where the Patel Mob shop is, we are just near that. It’s a noisy spot because of the cars and bikes, but it’s good for business. We handle a lot of coconut products every day. The shop is small, so we have to be careful how we stack everything. Most of the time we are moving heavy bags or crates around. It’s a lot of lifting and moving. People stop by on their way home to pick up what they need. We don't have many chairs, so we are usually standing up most of the day. The dust from the road comes in, so we are always dusting off the counters. It’s just a regular shop where we do our work and talk to the regulars who come in. Sometimes the heat is a bit much, but we have a fan that helps a little. We get our supplies from the local markets and sort them out in the back before putting them on the shelves. There isn't much to say about it other than it’s a lot of hard work. We stay open pretty late sometimes if there are still people moving around on the ring road, just waiting for the last few customers to finish their shopping.
