Gadhiya Gruh Udhyog

Gadhiya Gruh Udhyog is tucked away at Block Number 15 on Kothariya Main Road, right inside Madhuvan Park in Maruti Nagar. It is more of a home-style setup than a factory. We started it in the back rooms and eventually it took over the whole ground floor. We focus on making things the way people used to at home. My wife and her sisters do most of the preparation work. You will usually find them sitting together, sorting through lentils or spices on large steel plates. We have a couple of small grinders that make a lot of noise, so we try not to run them too late at night out of respect for the neighbors. The house always has bags of raw materials stacked in the corners. It’s a bit cramped, but we know where everything is. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. People just know we are here in Maruti Nagar. They walk up to the gate and ask what we have ready today. Sometimes we have a backlog of orders and we have to tell people to come back in two days. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because we can see every single bag that goes out. The kids help with the labeling after they finish their schoolwork in the evenings. It’s just a family thing, really. We work hard, we eat together, and we do it all again.
