Amar Ice Industries

We are based at Plot No. 4709/2 in the GIDC Estate. This is an industrial area, so it’s mostly warehouses and factories around us. Amar Ice Industries is a straightforward operation. We make ice for commercial use, so the place is designed for work, not for looks. The walls are plain grey concrete and the lighting is just some basic bulbs hanging from the ceiling. It gets really noisy when the machines are all running at once. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you need something, you just find one of the guys on the floor. The yard outside is unpaved and can get very dusty in the summer or muddy in the winter. We have a few old trucks that we use for moving the ice around. They aren't in the best shape, but they get the job done most days. We don't have a logo or any fancy brochures. We just focus on making sure the ice is frozen and ready when our customers need it. It’s hard work and it can be quite cold inside the storage areas. We’ve been in GIDC for a long time and we’ve seen it grow quite a bit. We just keep to ourselves and do our work. There are no frills here, just a lot of ice and hard labor. The forklift sometimes leaks a little oil, so we keep a tray under it.
