Ultratech Cement

Our location is in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, in an area where there is a lot of heavy industry. It’s a dusty part of the world, but that’s to be expected when you’re dealing with cement. The roads around here are often filled with big trucks carrying raw materials. We have a fairly large yard where we keep our stock, and it can get quite hectic when several trucks arrive at the same time to load up. The sun in Raipur is very strong, and there isn't much shade around the yard, so we spend a lot of time wearing hats and trying to stay hydrated. We don't have a fancy showroom; we just have a small cabin where we handle the billing and the phone calls. Most of our work is done through calls with regular contractors who have been buying from us for years. We don't use much in the way of technology, just the basics to keep our books in order. The work is physical and can be exhausting, but we have a good rhythm going. Every morning we check the stock levels and see what needs to be ordered for the next day. It’s a straightforward business without any frills. We focus on getting the bags out to the sites as quickly as we can and keeping our regular customers happy. It is a no-nonsense environment and we like it that way. The days are long but we get things done.
