Ambuja Cement

Our place is in Saket Colony, over in the Katulbod area of Durg. We are right near the Anandmarg School, so we hear the kids playing and the bells ringing all through the day. It’s a bit of a different vibe for a cement business, being so close to a school, but it works for us. The building is just a standard place in the colony where we store the Ambuja Cement and run the paperwork. Durg can be a busy city, and the traffic around Katulbod sometimes makes it a challenge for the delivery trucks to get in and out quickly. We have to time things just right so we don't cause a jam near the school gates during drop-off hours. Inside, it’s just a lot of bags and a small desk where we keep the ledger. We don't use any fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done by hand. The dust is just part of the life here, you get used to the gray film on your boots. We have a small tea stall nearby where we go for breaks. It’s a simple existence, just helping people get the materials they need for their homes. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just show up, do the work in Saket Colony, and head home when the sun goes down. It's just local building work in this part of Chhattisgarh.
