About Ambuja Cement Limited – Building & Construction Material in Raipur
Rawan is a small place, and being in the Ambuja Housing Colony means we are pretty much always at work. Our house at A3/146 serves as the office for the local administrative stuff. It’s nice being in the Balodabazar district because it’s much quieter than Raipur. We see the same people at the colony park every evening. The office is just a front room with two desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just what we need to keep track of the cement shipments coming out of the plant nearby. Sometimes the dust from the factory settles on the windows, so we have to wipe them down every couple of days. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the local village politics. It’s a very close-knit group of people here. We don't really have business hours in the traditional sense because someone is always around if a problem comes up. The local kids play cricket in the lane outside, and sometimes we have to tell them to move so a vehicle can get through. It’s a slow pace of life but the work is steady. We just try to stay organized and help out the people who come by with questions about the supply. Most of the time, we are just checking lists and making sure the gate passes are all signed and ready. The main road is about a ten-minute walk from here if you need to catch a bus.
