Ultratech Cement Ltd.

We spend most of our time here at Ultratech Cement Ltd. over in Hirmi. It’s a big spot and there is always something going on with the trucks and the machinery. Most of the people working here have been around for a while now. We just get on with the job of making sure things are moving and the cement is getting where it needs to go. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere but that is just part of being out here in Hirmi. You see the same faces every morning when the shift starts. It is not a fancy place, just a lot of concrete and metal. We have our routines and we stick to them. It is loud during the day because of the equipment running. Most of us live nearby so the commute isn't too bad. We deal with a lot of logistics and making sure the loads are right. The office side of things keeps us busy with paperwork but we prefer being out where the action is. It's steady work. Some days are hotter than others, especially in the summer months when the sun hits the plant. We take our breaks together and talk about whatever is going on in town. It is just a regular workplace doing what needs to be done. We have been at this address for quite some time. The gate is usually busy. We don't really think much about it, we just show up and do our bit.
