Brahman Para is one of those older parts of Rajim that has a lot of character. Our office is tucked away in one of the buildings there. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't from around here, but the locals can point you in the right direction. Raipur is a big city, but Rajim feels like its own world. We deal with the cement supply for this whole area. The office inside is a bit cramped with all the registers and sample bags we’ve collected over the months. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, and there’s always something happening out there—cows wandering by, or a festival procession. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that move the warm air around. The work is mostly manual, writing things down and making phone calls to the warehouse. We don't use much fancy software. It’s more about knowing the people and the local builders personally. We’ve been here long enough that we can tell who is calling just by the way they say hello. It’s a bit of a messy, loud, and busy place, but it works for us. We just try to keep things moving and make sure nobody is waiting too long for their order. Sometimes the tea arrives cold from the shop, but we drink it anyway. The old wooden stairs creak every time someone comes up to see us.
