Our place is right inside the Township colony at Hirmi, specifically at Quarter Number F/266. This is a real industrial village setting in the Raipur district of Chhattisgarh. Since we are based right in the township, we are surrounded by the people who work at the plant and their families. It is a very close-knit environment. You can’t go far without bumping into someone you know. Our day usually starts with the sounds of the colony waking up. We deal with the cement side of things from this little office space. It’s not a big office with air conditioning and fancy chairs. It’s just a room where we keep the records and handle the daily tasks that come up. The dust from the area is just part of life here. We see the same faces every day, and most of our work comes from word of mouth within the Hirmi community. Sometimes we get visitors from the nearby villages looking for supplies. The Raipur heat can be tough, so we mostly drink a lot of water and keep the fans running. It’s a practical way to live and work. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that written on the walls. We just make sure the cement is available for whoever needs it in the colony or the surrounding post office area without any delay.
