Ultra Tech Cement

Our location is over at S.K.Mishra C-29 Town Ship, within the Hirmi Cement Works. It’s out in the Raipur district of Chhattisgarh, specifically in Post Hirmi. Living and working in a township like this is its own unique thing. You see the same people at work that you see at the store in the evening or on the weekends. It’s a very tight community here at Ultra Tech Cement. The Hirmi works are big, and we are just one part of that whole system. Our office is simple, just what you’d expect for a place connected to a factory. It’s not about being pretty; it’s about being functional and getting through the day. We spend a lot of time checking on things and making sure the logistics are right for the next shipment. The air often smells like dust and machinery, which is just the smell of work to us now. We have our routines, like the tea break in the mid-morning where everyone catches up on the local news or family stuff. We don't have a marketing department here telling us what to say or how to look. We just know the cement business and how to handle the day-to-day tasks that come our way. It can be a long drive to get into Raipur city, so we mostly stay around the township. It's a practical way to live. We work hard, look out for each other, and make sure the bags of cement get loaded correctly. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s a solid one.
