Sri Vani Public School

If you head down Street No.1 in Choubey Colony, you’ll find Sri Vani Public School at Plot No.2. It’s a familiar sight for anyone living around this part of Raipur. We’ve been operating out of this building for a good while. It’s a straightforward place with a gate that’s always a bit squeaky and classrooms that have seen many years of students. Choubey Colony is a nice enough place to work. The street gets a bit crowded when school lets out, but that’s just life in the city. We don't have any big flashy signs or expensive lobbies. Inside, it’s just rows of benches and teachers trying to get through the curriculum. We have kids from all over the neighborhood coming in. Some walk, some come on cycles. It’s a very local feel. We try to keep the fans running when it’s hot and the floors swept. Sometimes the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but the teaching still happens regardless. It’s a practical environment. The staff here are just regular people from the area who know the families. We don't make a big fuss about things; we just focus on the daily schedule. It’s about getting the kids to read their books and do their sums. That’s what a school is for, after all. We are just here doing our part for the neighborhood kids.
